Elegancia Healthcare signed an agreement with Cedars-Sinai for The View Hospital

Elegancia Healthcare, a subsidiary of Power International Holding (PIH) and Elegancia Group, has signed an agreement with Cedars-Sinai Los Angeles, the prestigious international healthcare provider, for a 250-bed, world-class general hospital.

The luxurious 250-bed facility, named The View Hospital, will span approximately 95,000 sqm, situated amongst the spectacular backdrop of Al Qutaifiya; offering a picturesque sea view, overlooking Katara and the skyline of Doha.

The hospital will host nearly 23,000 inpatients and more than 300,000 outpatients, in the hospital’s elegantly furnished facilities, uncompromising quality in patient care and accommodation.

The View Hospital will welcome visits from doctors of Cedars-Sinai and will bring world-class healthcare services to Qatar. It will feature six elegant presidential suites, nine ambassador suites, 50 VIP suites, and state-of-the-art operating rooms, day care, critical beds and labs.

The View Hospital is scheduled to open in August 2022, with a key mission to set new standards for quality and innovation in patient care, creating a unique experience with highly qualified staff, technological advancement and compassionate care.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1902, Cedars-Sinai now cares for more than one million people each year in over 40 locations worldwide. By partnering with Cedars-Sinai, Elegancia Healthcare’s inaugural general hospital will provide patients with world-class healthcare, supported by leading-edge technology and state-of-the-art facilities.

The signing ceremony was held at the View Hospital’s construction site in Al Qutaifiya, in the vicinity of Lusail, Katara and The Pearl, Qatar. The attendance included Madame Ambassador Greta Holtz CDA American¬¬ Embassy, PIH’s Chairman, Mr. Moutaz Al-Khayyat, Group CEO Mr. Ramez Al-Khayyat, in the presence of Cedars-Sinai executives, President and CEO, Mr. Thomas Priselac, Executive VP and Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Richard Jacobs, Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Eduard Prunchunas, VP and Medical Director, Dr. Heitham Hassoun and Senior Global Consultant, Mr. Steve Thompson.

This new development comes as the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) looks to expand the role of private health care providers to achieve its ambitious expansion plans for Qatar.
