Doha, Qatar – March 14, 2021

UrbaCon Trading and Contracting (UCC), an affiliate of UCC Holding, was among the distinguished private companies in Qatar to receive the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate, granted by The General Authority of Customs Qatar. The certificate was given by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Chairman of Qatar Customs and received by Mr. Ayman Rabata, Power International Holding’s Inbound Logistics Director.

The AEO certification is part of the Authorized Economic Operator Program launched by Qatar Customs. Through the introduction of this national agenda, Qatar Customs aims to develop partnerships and cooperation with the private sector, and to provide facilities and benefits to parties involved in the supply chain in international trade. Including reducing customs restrictions, inspection procedures, cargo checks, and the speedy release of incoming and outgoing goods to these companies.
