Our headquarters in Doha and sites around Qatar were full of inspiring scenes today as PIH colleagues united to commemorate World Day of Safety at Work. This international event, led by The International Labour Organisation (ILO), celebrates successes and contributions towards improving Safety throughout every part of a company or organization.
The health and safety of our employees is our highest priority, and the current global health crisis demonstrates the importance of continuously strengthening OSH systems, including occupational health services.
We have leveraged this global event to raise awareness and stimulate dialogue around the importance of creating and investing in resilient OSH systems, drawing on both regional and country examples in mitigating and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.
Our colleagues enthusiastically marked the occasion by creating banners, memos, and social media posts to highlight exceptional achievements and initiatives. As well as sharing information and stories around HSE best practice, PIH colleagues were issued with branded protective helmets, high-vis vests, and other props to make it a day to remember.
