Signing ceremony held by Qatar Tourism, Qatari Diar, & Elegancia Group for “Doha Winter Wonderland” at Al Maha Island

Al Baker: “A quantum addition to tourist destinations in Qatar”
Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior

H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, a signing ceremony announcing the official beginning of the construction works for Doha Winter Wonderland was held today morning at Al Maha Island in Lusail. The world class project is led by the association of the leading local companies Elegancia Group, Qatari Diar, and IMG, in corporation with Qatar Tourism.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior

H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, H.E. Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance; H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Qassim Al-Abdullah Al-Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry;

Mr. Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chariman of Elegancia Group, and Frank Guignery, Managing Director of IMG in Middle East. The agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Secretary-General of Qatar Tourism;

Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Chief Executive Officer of Qatari Diar, Mr. Ramez Al Khayyat, Managing Director of Elegancia Group, and Frank Guignery, Managing Director of IMG in Middle East.
“Once completed, Doha Winter Wonderland will not only be a Qatari attraction, but also a remarkable addition to the rapidly growing list of world-class tourist destinations in Qatar,”

said Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of Qatari Diar.
“The quantum addition of Doha Winter Wonderland to tourist destinations in Qatar is more than just an entertainment attraction as it signifies huge potential of Qatar’s development and how it is heading towards the future”, added H.E. Mr. Al Baker, Secretary-General of Qatar Tourism.
On this occasion, Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of Elegancia Group, commented, “We are privileged to be part of this prestigious project introducing Doha Winter Wonderland as a significant milestone to Qatar’s evolving tourism landscape.”
Frank Guignery, Managing Director of IMG in Middle East said: “We are proud to be involved in this huge project, and are sure that Doha Winter Wonderland will be one of the most beautiful entertainment parks in the world.
Spanning over an area of 200,000 sq m, Doha Winter Wonderland will feature six game zones that include more than 50 world-class games that suit different age groups, a beach club, 35 bungalows, a public area for carrying out activations and festivities, a marine and yacht club, public and VIP beaches, a sports area, restaurants and cafés, a promenade, and a huge parking area to ensure a magical one-of-a-kind experience for visitors of different age groups and backgrounds.
With FIFA World Cup 2022 approaching near, Qatar Tourism Authority is taking all necessary steps to develop and revitalize the tourism sector in the State of Qatar. The authority proclaims the achievement of engaging prominent stakeholders to develop the upcoming entertainment facility in the island based on the well-known Winter Wonderland Concept.
