  • Mr. Moutaz is a prominent Qatari businessman based in Doha. A self-made entrepreneur, Mr. Moutaz constantly explores new business frontiers and provides clients with innovative and ingenious business solutions.

  • He is the Group Chairman of Power International Holding and Urbacon Trading & Contracting (UCC), one of GCC’s leading, grade one licensed building and contracting companies in Qatar. Mr. Moutaz is an experienced and proven leader who continues to set up companies world-wide; investing in construction, real-estate development, hospitality, food & beverage, retail, and facility management.

  • Mr. Ramez Al-Khayyat is a well-known entrepreneur and a proven leader that brings in a wealth of experience in operations, risk management, and development. Mr. Ramez is the Vice Chairman and Group CEO of “Power International Holding”, a conglomerate of Real Estate Development and investment, industrial, F&B, Retail, Dairy farming, and service firms.

  • He is also the Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Urbacon Trading & Contracting (UCC).

ADNAN ALI STEITIEH

Board Member / Independent


  • Dr. Adnan Steitieh is an Independent Board Member of Power International Holding, ASSETS and Baladna. He supervises several managerial and leadership positions locally and internationally and is an integral part of the company with 40 years of cumulative operational experience.

  • He also is an Independent Board Member of the Arab Jordan Investment Bank and Palestine Investment Bank; Executive Director and Secretary to the Board of Directors at Salam International Investment Limited; and Advisor & Secretary to the Board of Directors of Salam Bounian Development.

    Dr. Adnan is an international arbitrator accredited by Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration; Assistant Professor at the College of Management & Economics – Qatar University; and is a member of Award Committee of Social Responsibility. He holds a Doctorate in Management and Economics from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany and a bachelor’s degree in Law & Political Sciences from Arab University of Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Adnan has advanced qualifications in International Relations, Sustainable Development, Reserve Management and Public Policy.

Managing Director and Deputy CEO


  • Maurice A. Ghattas possesses a proven track record of accomplishments in his 31 years of experience in the USA and the Gulf Region. He brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience in Business Strategy and Organizational Structuring, Strategic Planning, International Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Development. A strong Profit & Loss manager, leader and motivator who is fully adept at taking on new challenges and succeeding on every project he has been involved.

  • Maurice has an extensive knowledge in Structuring and Managing Diverse and Complex Groups; Mergers and Acquisitions; Right Sizing companies in lean times; Lean Thinking / Six Sigma Methodologies; Strategic Sourcing and Outsourcing; Operational Management; Total Cost Management; Customer Development and Inventory Management.

    Previously, he was the Group Chief Executive Officer at Aban Investments, Ghobash Group, Yusuf Bin Ahmad Kanoo Group of Companies and National Holding. Maurice joined WR Grace in Maryland as Chief Procurement Officer where he created departments to focus on the $1.2 Billion plus global spend, and later became the Managing Director for WR Grace Dubai and Germany.

    Maurice has an MBA in Operations and Production Management and a B.S. in Civil Engineering at Syracuse University, Martin J. Whitman School of Management and School of Engineering. In addition, he has attended numerous executive classes such as Negotiations Class and Dealing with Difficult People in Harvard University; Lean Manufacturing and Thinking in the University of Tennessee; Executive Management Training Classes in University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.

AHMED EL ZEFTAWY
Ahmed El Zeftawy

Chief Human Resources Officer


  • Ahmed El Zeftawy is a vital affiliate of Power International Holding, having contributed his 23 years of extensive regional and global Human Resources experience to the company.

  • Prior to working at PIH, he has worked with Multinational, Semi-government and Family owned business environment. He started his career in Egypt and in Italy, as he worked for the Italian Oil and Gas giant, Eni. Subsequently, Mr. El Zeftawy joined the American project management company, Bechtel International in Egypt and in UK. His experience in the Gulf region started with Borouge, an Abu Dhabi Polymers Company, and then he joined the Abu Dhabi conglomerate Al Jaber Group, before joining Power International Holding.

    Ahmed proves to be a solid leader to the HR department, as he leads the team to train, develop, advise and implement policies, and find innovative solutions to increase work productivity.

  • Mazen Alsbeti is an accomplished specialist in the industry, with 23 years of comprehensive and successful experience as an Executive Director, initiating growth policies as a Senior Executive. He has an outstanding planning, execution, monitoring and resource balancing skills; with the ability to support multiple projects in a matrix of organizational structure.

  • He is the main contact person of business stakeholders in providing accurate reporting and information regarding ongoing projects and initiatives; Developing and executing strategies intended to create and uphold a positive public image for the group; Working and forming relationships with prominent members of the Media, Government and the Public - to uphold a positive image for the company, and to generate new business opportunities.

  • Gustavo Rico is a Senior Procurement and Supply Chain professional with extensive international experience in America, Europe and Middle East. He has worked with world-class, multinational companies such as Kuwait Food Company (Americana), Unilever, Loreal and Procter & Gamble.

  • Gustavo is passionate at mentoring and motivating culturally diverse people across multiple locations and regions. He possesses a transformational and pioneering spirit leading processes, programs and systems to create the highest value for the business. He has been a key driver of long-term partnerships and strategic alliances, promoting proactive innovation, business growth and geographical expansion in developing and emerging markets.

    He possesses a bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration; additionally, he has diverse qualifications in Lean Manufacturing, Advance Negotiations, Change Management, Business Development, Total Productive Maintenance, S & OP process, etc. Gustavo is a strong believer of technology as an enabler of business development, simplification, harmonization and transparency.

  • Jasim is a Senior IT Management professional with close to 15 years of experience across the Middle East, North Africa, India, & Turkey. His experience spans from IT Consulting, Retail, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, and Technology Services industries. He is an evolving IT Digital Transformation leader with experience across the spectrum of Digital touch points and proven business outcomes.

  • He has played leadership roles in developing IT Strategy; driving Digital transformation of Businesses, ERP transformations, and IT Infrastructure Operations related initiatives. His key strength is in simplifying business processes, executing large IT projects, managing diverse teams and understanding the importance of delivering customer value. Jasim has hands-on experiences in ERP implementations, Mobile apps, IOT, Artificial Intelligence projects, Cloud deployments, and Analytics.

    Jasim has an MBA in Supply Chain & Operations and bachelor’s degree in information technology & Engineering. His vision is to see IT as a growth driver and how it can positively impact business results and enhance customer experience.

  • Marwan is a marketing and communication expert. He leads the marketing of all the companies of the group and makes sure that he aligns the corporate objectives with the marketing plans. With more than 30 years’ experience in marketing, media and communications in the Gulf, Marwan delivers plans and initiatives that enhance brand positioning and drive business development, growth and increased value.

  • Marwan has a proven track record in major media and advertising organizations and is famous for launching several businesses such as Alwaseet, al Hayat, Nas Airlines, Layalina and others. He has well managed the shift from traditional to digital marketing and has created successful digital plans for several international and local brands in F&B, real estate, automotive and retail.

    Holder of degree in Economics from the French University of St Joseph in Beirut, he knows well how to see in macro and act in micro switching focus between the part and the whole.

    He truly believes that the marketing function brings tangible results to the top line as well as to the valuation, and has the tools to prove it.

    In his free time Marwan reads a lot, likes comedy, discovery and is a joyful father of two young ladies.

HILAL AMIN

Risk and Insurance Director


  • Hilal Amin believes in a standardized, organized and efficient workplace, and he applies his strong principles as Power International Holding’s Risk and Insurance Director. He is adept and vastly knowledgeable in all classes of insurance, especially insurance rules and regulations.

  • Hilal is an extremely capable manager and leader, proficient in all phases of organizing and coordinating projects, and meeting deadlines and budgets. He is a front-runner in the local insurance industry by which he introduced several new insurance products to the market. He effectively managed, negotiated and settled high-profile insurance claims with local and international insurance carriers on behalf of clients.

Ala’a Tamneh

Group Legal Director


  • Ala’a Tamneh leads the Corporate Legal Department of Power International Holding. He brings over 24 years of legal practice and knowledge in common and civil jurisdictions. He holds a Master’s Degree in Law from Monash University, Melbourne – Australia. He is also a member of the Jordanian Bar Association since 1995.

  • Ala’a has a wide practical knowledge predominantly in Corporate, Commercial, Construction and Property Laws in conjunction with FIDIC forms of contracts, Qatari and GCC Legislations, Public Sector Statutes, Intellectual Property and Corporate Governance Rules and Regulations.

    Ala’a was engaged in submittals pertaining to Civil, MEP, Steel Structure, Excavation and Aluminum works’ activities for main and subcontracts within the public sector. He handled a wide range of projects, including the following:

    Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Gas, Public Works / Ashghal, New Doha International Airport, Msheireb Downtown Project, Qatar National Library, Central Library for Qatar Foundation Education City, Doha Oasis Project, World Trade Center Project, Woqood Tower West-bay, North Gate Mall and Office Building.

    Ala’a is an experienced English and Arabic bilingual lawyer, providing complex legal advice and services gained in occupying both private law firms’ practice and in-house roles in Jordan, Dubai and Qatar. He is further an experienced litigant with excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills advising high ranked domestic and international portfolios and senior level management. He led highly qualified lawyers in addition to value added interaction with local and cross border external legal counsels and firms.

Chief Risk & Internal Audit


  • Hassan leads the Risk and Internal Audit Department of Power International Holding, bringing over 24 years of experience in areas of Internal Audit, Internal Control, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Strategy, Board-level Communication, Business Advisory, Project Management and Resource Management; in different business segments mainly in Heavy Industries, Manufacturing, Real-Estate Development, Construction, EPC, FMCG, Hospitality and Logistics.

  • Hassan worked for Gulf General Investment Co. P.S.C. in the UAE, a public stock company listed on Dubai Financial Market “DFM”, joined them in 2014 as the Group Head of Compliance & Internal Control, reporting to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors on all aspects of the Company’s system of internal control including, but not limited to, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance and Internal Audit additionally Hassan was the Company’s Secretary working closely with the Board of Directors.

    Prior to that and since 2004 Hassan worked with GHC- SENAAT’, one of the UAE’s largest industrial investment holding companies owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi, as the Group Internal Audit & Risk Director, reporting to SENAAT’s Audit Committee, in addition of being an Audit Committee member at all SENAAT’s Subsidiaries’, including two public stock companies “Agthia and ARKAN” listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange “ADX”; and was also appointed as an independent Audit Committee member at Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development.

    Hassan holds a University Degree in Finance & Commerce and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)-USA since November 2002, a Certified Board Secretary (CBS)-UK and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as well as other professional bodies.
