Monita Barghachie

Monita heads the Legal Department at Power International Holding. She is a seasoned lawyer with over fourteen years of experience in Qatar working for prominent international law firms in acting on corporate and commercial transactions, M&As, restructuring and reorganization, capital markets, and providing counsel on private corporate compliance and governance, direct investment and joint ventures, franchising and agencies structures.

Amongst the landmark projects Monita advised on are the initial public offering (IPO) of Baladna QPSC and the IPO of Qatar Medical & Life Insurance Company (QLM) QPSC, advising the Qatari Ministry of Municipality and Environment on the development of a planning legislation, advising the Qatari Ministry of Transport and Communications on the development of a Trustmark Framework for Qatar e-commerce, and advising on the corporate restructuring of a Qatari public shareholding company.

Monita is affiliated with the Advocates Bar Association in Lebanon and has contributed to several editions of the World Bank publication ‘Doing Business’.
